Clarkson's location right near the Adirondacks makes it the perfect opportunity for students to do outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and fishing. Skiing is also huge around here in the wintertime. And there's lots of great mountains and bodies of water nearby for students to visit.

The Clarkson Outing Club provides a great opportunity for people who are interested in the outdoors to be able to go on trips with other people on campus and create a community of people that like the outdoors but also you can rent gear for very cheap. You can have access to learning new things like I started learning how to climb here at Clarkson's wall which is located in Schiele.

And I've even been able to go to the Adirondacks and climb through the Outing Club and all the materials that they provide. Even staying within Potsdam, you have great hiking trails, and being right on the racket, we have a boathouse that you're able to [inaudible], take out a kayak or go paddleboarding, and sometimes you'll see people out by the river slacklining, too.

If you're an outdoor enthusiast Clarkson is the perfect place for you. There's limitless opportunities to do anything you enjoy outside in the surrounding area.
